Scrambled eggs are a big hit in our family.
The husband loves them; my toddler loves them, I love them. So it’s my go-to thing when we’re all a hungry bunch, and I only have five minutes to put something on the delicious table, nutritious, and a crowd pleaser!
So let’s get started.
To make these scrambled eggs, all you will need are two eggs, a pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, and some nonstick cooking spray.
We’re going to start by breaking two eggs. We’re going to add some salt and some freshly ground black pepper, and we’re going to go ahead and beat this.
The best part about these scrambled eggs is that we’re not adding any fat – no need for milk, heavy cream, cheese, nothing.
You’ll see that you don’t need any of those things to make creamy scrambled eggs. You might as well save those calories for dessert, if you ask me.
Let’s go over to the stove and cook these now. My nonstick pan is on medium heat, and I’m going to hit it with a little bit of cooking spray. And then, I’m going to add in the beaten eggs. You’ll see it starts to cook right away. And this is when you’ll want to keep it moving.
Don’t scramble it too fast because you want the big curds – that’s what makes your eggs sweet and soft and creamy. Just keep moving, and remember not to squish it – fold it, much like you would fold in Whipped cream. We’re not going to squish it; we’re just going to wrap it. And we’re going to stop short of being done, because it will continue to cook even after you turn off the stove. So my snack is ready.
And guess what, I already took a bit because I could not resist! I’m going to add a little bit of sage, because I’m fancy like that – haha! Anyway, just a little bit of sage. Oh, so creamy! I just put it on some crusty rustic bread.
And we didn’t add any extra fat. No butter, no cream. I’m telling you guys, you have to make this, and it will become a family favourite of yours. It only takes a couple of minutes to make. it is delicious and healthy.
